Natural Labor Pain Management technique | Labor pain relief without medication #laboranddelivery

pain No Comments »

It is one of my favorite topics to share Natural Pain relief options in my Birth Preparation workshops.

Today I will talk about the effects of a tiny comb that you can add to your hospital bag.
.
The main purpose of this technique is to stimulate the desired areas by applying pressure. Theoretically, acupressure regulates blood flow, promotes the secretion of neurotransmitters, and thus helps the normal functioning of the body.
.
It helps in flooding the nerves carrying pain signals with other signals which may reduce the perception of pain to the brain.
.
In Acupressure, pressure can be applied using different objects such as a comb, ice pack, tennis ball.
.
How to use this method ?

When you feel the birth contractions, let’s meet the waves with a calm breath by taking the comb in the palm of your hand and squeezing it during the contractions as in the video. Stop squeezing the comb and relax when the labor contractions pass and rest.
.
The aim here is to stimulate the acupuncture points in the palm and help it to have a pain-relieving effect during contraction.
.
💁🏻‍♀️Did you put a comb in your hospital bag? Have you tried this method? How did you feel?
